Party Treats - Scrapbook Layout With Sewing

Party Treats - Scrapbook Layout With Sewing

This photo is very special to me. Its only a snapshot from my last birthday party, but I want to remember this day. I had some friends over and I served cupcakes, insalata caprese, salmon mousse, cheese snacks and watermelon.

On this layout I used the beautiful and coloured papers and the fun embellishments from the Double Scoop kits by Studio Calico. I just love these bright coloured triangles.

I sewed on the layout with a stencil by Amy Tangerine. Love these sort of stencils. Wished I had more of them!

The confetti on the PL-card is so colourful and fits the theme!

Cards On Saturday #7

Cards On Saturday #7

Its Saturday again and I want to show you my latest cards! I made some cute cards for close friends with the new Front Porch collection by Pebbles. These colours and patterns are just perfect for fall cards.

We still have fall now, but in Norway its like early winter, its so cold outside! I am freezing. Yesterday I bought me a new scarf and a cap in grey. Now I only need some new warm boots and a feather down jacket.

Schiff ahoi - Scrapbook Layout

Schiff ahoi - Scrapbook Layout

My youngest son is a pirate, he loves to play with all his pirate stuff. But he is a ninja fighter too and a vampire or a knight! Its really funny, he sometimes lives in his own dreamworld. Our living room turns into a ship, a castle or even a jungle.

I took this somewhat blurry picture with my iPhone and had to scrapbook it. Its part of my life right now and I want to remember this. My boys just grow up so fast.

I used the Double Scoop kits by Studio Calico, these kits are so versatile, you can use them for any kind of picture!  I love the transparancies and I cut one in half to use it in two spots!
Tomorrow I will post some new cards with a cool fall collection by Pebbles! So stay tuned!

Step-by-Step Tutorial Pie Charts

Step-by-Step Tutorial Pie Charts

Hi and welcome to my blog! Today I want to show you how I made the 3 fun pie charts for my Fall layout "Sweetie Pie" over at Pebbles!
I have a Silhouette SD but today I didn´t use it. Instead I used my circle dies in 3 different sizes and my die cutting machine Big Shot!

Step #1
Take some fun patterned paper. I used papers from the Front Porch collection by Pebbles.
Cut all the sheets in half (6x12).

Step #2
Cut out a bunch of nice circles with the help of your die cutting machine and 3 circle dies in different sizes.

Step #3
Fold the circles in half several times.

Step #4
Cut out lots of different sized pieces.

Step #5
Make a pie chart with the different pieces of paper. Use a whole circle as the base.
Use foam dots (mine are from American Crafts) to create dimension.

Step #6
Adhere 2 punched circles in the middle of each pie chart.

Use your pie charts on your project! I would love to see what you create with this step-by-step tutorial. Come back and leave a link to your project in the comment field! Thank you for stopping by! You can see my fun fall scrapbook layout here at the Pebbles Blog!

MS Europa - Scrapbook Layout

MS Europa - Scrapbook Layout

A few weeks ago I had the chance to have breakfast and lunch with my parents at the MS Europa (the most beautiful Yacht in the world from Hapag Lloyd) during its stay in Oslo. I took some instagrams and made a scrapbook layout with the Double Scoop Kits by Studio Calico. Love the colours and the chevron pattern.

Amsterdam - Scrapbook Layout

Amsterdam - Scrapbook Layout

I have visited Amsterdam several times in my life but I hardly took photos the past years. This summer I had the chance to take some great photos of some famous buildings and canals. I just love this city. Amsterdam is the capital and the most popolous city of the Netherlands. The city is very old and the name Amsterdam is actually the short version of "Amstelredamme", a dam in the river Amstel.
I made this scrapbook layout with the "Marks & Co" kits by Studio Calico. I especially love the golden washi tape with the name "Lilith" on it. Lilith is a hebrew name for a figure in the Jewish mythology and "Lilith" reminds me of all the jewish people who lived in Amsterdam during World War 2. The most discussed jewish victim of the Holocaust was Anne Frank. She was a jewish girl who had to go into hiding during The Second World War to escape the Nazis.

Its saturday and I want to show you my newest cards! I made these cute cards with the latest collection by Pebbles. "From Me To You" is just perfect for cards! The coordinating Cardmaking Paper Pad makes cardmaking so much easier! I love the colours and the cute patterns with all the flowers, polkadots and stripes. I used some of the tiny envelopes and library cards for adding a bit dimension! You can put vouchers in these envelopes and library cards. Have a happy and scrappy weekend! Scrap Space - Scrapbook Layout With A Grid Design

Scrap Space - Scrapbook Layout With A Grid Design

A few months ago I had to move all my scrapbook stuff from our guest room on the second floor to the first floor, because my oldest son wanted to have his own room. So now I have this small corner in the living room. I bought a new Expedit workstation and a new white bookshelf and painted the wall in black with chalkboard paint. I just love my scrap space and I spend here lots of time with crafting, scrapbooking and blogging.
I made this page with the Double Scoop Kits by Studio Calico and I lifted a scrapbook layout by Lisa Dickinson. For more grid styled ideas check out this post on shimelle.com.

Just My Type - Scrapbook Layout with a photo overlay

Just My Type - Scrapbook Layout with a photo overlay

Hei and welcome to my blog! Today I want to show you one of my favourite scrapbook layouts I made with this beautiful new collection "From Me To You" by Pebbles. The colours and patterns of this collection are just gorgeous. I love all the sweet embellishments. The collection is very feminine with all the flowers, envelopes, telephones and typewriters. But it is possible to use this collection with photos of boys too. On this scrapbook layout I used some photos of my youngest son. He was so happy at his first school day in august this year. So after school I took some really cool photos outside on our veranda. I used a photo overlay on this scrapbook layout.
Photo overlays are very popular right now and I love how they work as an extra filter.

Morten - Scrapbook Layout

Morten - Scrapbook Layout

I love cute deers and I love Morten! So both are on a new page which I made with the august kits "Marks & Co" and add on "Salinger" by Studio Calico. Morten Harket was the lead singer of the norwegian band A-ha, which released nine studio albums and topped the charts in several countries after their breakthrough hit "Take on Me" in 1985. Morten is the voice of A-ha. A-ha disbanded in 2010...but Morten has also released five solo albums. Last year he gave one concert in Oslo and I have been there. I just love Morten, he is such an handsome guy and he sings like an angel!

Making-of-Monday #5

Hi again! I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was really cool. I had lots of free time and made 5 pages with the august kits from Studio Calico.
Today I want to share the first page I made with these cool and versatile kits.
My boys love the World of Chima from Lego very much and last friday they had enough money together to buy some cool vehicles from Chima.
I took one photo of the "Eris Eagle Interceptor" and made a page about it. I tried something new and used the stamping technique with watercolours. My boys love the layout, so this page goes straight into their own album!

Here is how it all came together! Have fun!
