Pebbles Basics - First Day At School Layout

Pebbles Basics - First Day At School Layout

My son loves the colour red, so I had to make a layout with lots of red for him. The red cardstock by American Crafts was just perfect for this job. I used the primary colours red, yellow and blue for the colourscheme. I took this picture at his first schoolday. He was so scared at this day, its a huge step from kindergarten to school though. But his "sugar bag" (paper bag in form of a big cone) helped a lot, he was so proud of it. This is actually a typical german tradition. The kids in Germany and even in Austria take this cone to school at their first day. The cone is filled with sweets, candy and toys. It is given to children from their parents to make this anxiously awaited first day of school a little bit sweeter. The Norwegians however don`t have this sort of tradition, so my son was the only one in the class with this sugar bag! The local newspaper wrote an short article about him and even took a photo, which was published a few days later!
