Cards ON Saturday #10

Hei og velkommen! Its starting to look like Christmas right? Well, yesterday we had our very first real snow in Norway...ok in the south of Norway where I live. I just love this season. Its cold yes, but the snow is so beautiful here in Norway.
Today I want to show you my first four christmas cards I made for my friends and family in Germany, Netherlands and UK.

I lifted some cards by the Creative Team over at Studio Calico. These girls make some really nice cards with the card kits and add ons and I love all the inspiration!

Its so sad that some of them will leave the team. Ladies, I will miss you there so much!

Norsk Folkemuseum - Scrapbook Layout in PL Style

Yes, I love Project Life, I just love all the PL pages of other scrappers. But: I really have a hard time to make my own PL album. I tried it last year in 2012, but it did not work for me. This year I only made some pages in the style of Project Life. I took some divided page protectors and the "Front Porch" collection by Pebbles and made these two pages for my album.

I really like the look of these two pages. I took some pictures at the Norsk Folkemuseum which is located on the half island Bygdøy in Oslo. It was a fine day in fall and the sun was shining, perfect for us and the kids had a lot of fun there.

Next year I really want to make my first Project Life album, I want to do it. Wish me luck!

December Daily #2 - Foundation pages 1-6

December Daily #2 - Foundation pages 1-6

Welcome back! I bought the Studio Calico December Daily Kit to make my album, but I used some additional stuff from my stash too! I want to use my stuff instead of hoarding it!
I love the bright colours and patterns of the older collection "fa-la-la" by Lawn Fawn and last year I bought the whole collection pack.
I will not only use the papers but I want to use the cute stickers from the collection pack too. You can still buy these papers and stickers at Lawn Fawn!

Here are the first pages of my december daily album.

The tags are from American Crafts and I lifted an idea by my scrapbooking friend Daphne! She made an incredible beautiful december daily album last year! And I am really looking forward to her new album!

Wow! - Scrabook Layout With White and Gold

Wow! - Scrabook Layout With White and Gold

White, gold and petrol are really trendy at this moment. I love the combination of white and gold and used these colours on my newest scrapbook page about my youngest.
He really loves his skateboard.

I used all these fun alpha thickers to make a perfect background, the alphas give the page more movement. The golden rub ons are perfect for adding some interest. My son loves this scrapbook layout.

Skole Gutt - Scrapbook Layout With 2 Instagrams

Skole Gutt - Scrapbook Layout With 2 Instagrams

Leon is really a funny boy. He loves it when I accompany him to his classroom. He is in the first grade and when he is in his classroom he wants to draw first. He is really good at that. I took some quick pictures of him at two different days at school. I wanted to preserve this special memory of his first school days for him that I made this fun scrapbook page.

I used some papers and embellishments from the october scrapbook kit and add on. Love all the bright colours and fun patterns. They remind me of a happy time at school!

Skolegutt ist norwegian and means school boy. he defintely is a school boy now! He loves it there!

Be Happy & Have Fun - Scrapbook Layout With Lots Of Alphas

Be Happy & Have Fun - Scrapbook Layout With Lots Of Alphas

I love alphas, but I hate it when I have leftovers. I use scrapbook stuff instead of hoarding it for bad times. From time to time I make scrapbook layouts with lots of alphas. I used these plastic green ones that came with the october scrapbook kit by Studio Calico to make a fun and happy background.

My son is always very happy when it comes to hiking. He just loves being outside in the beautiful nature here in Norway. We really have some great spots nearby. I took these photos of him during our stop at the Store Skillingen, which is a beautiful lake in Akershus where we live.

It was a warm and sunny day back in october! We really had a lot of fun!

Just Me - Scrapbook Layout With "From Me To You" By Pebbles

Just Me - Scrapbook Layout With "From Me To You" By Pebbles

I love to crochet and I made this beanie lately. Its right trendy in germany to crochet beanies like this. I wished I could buy the original trendy wool from Boshi over here in Norway, but hey this merino wool in dark and light grey from "Stof og Stil" is quite nice too. I bought more last friday, because I want to make also a loop scarf. The winter will be cold over here so I will definitely need both.

I made this scrapbook layout with the "From Me To You" collection by Pebbles. Love the bright and fun colours and the collection is perfect for layout about yourself. Daphne, my scrapbooking friend from the UK sent me some cute flower shaped paperclips the other day. They fit perfectly. I just love flowers!

I lifted a page by Shimelle and I am really happy how it turned out. I will make more pages about myself! Its not that easy to make cute pictures of yourself, I tried several times, but in the end I took this perfect picture!

December Daily #1

Today I want to show you my cover of my December Daily album. I used some Pearl Mint coloured acrylic paint by Pandurohobby to give my cover a cool colour.

I adhered white snowflakes by American Crafts, a 3x4 card, a red flowershape, a wood veneer shape, some ribbon and glitter Thickers to make this nice cover. I love how it turned out. Next sunday I will show you my foundation pages! So stay tuned!

Cards On Saturday #9

Cards On Saturday #9

I has been a busy month so far. Today I will show you two fall inspired cards I made with the oktober card kit by Studio Calico. We still have fall over here in Norway. Its cold during the nights, but we have no snow yet. We have rainy and sunny days. Last year we had a lot of snow around this time of the year. Today we will have a warm and sunny day. Well, still waiting for the sun though.

The first card is for my mums birthday end of november, the second card is for someone special who send me some cute gifts lately. The cards are inspired by some fabulous cardmakers over at Studio Calico. Thanks Julie Campell and Gayatri Murali for all the inspiration!

Uitzicht - Scrapbook Layout With 2 Photos

Uitzicht - Scrapbook Layout With 2 Photos

I am back with another scrapbook layout about our recent trip to Amsterdam. The skyline from Amsterdam is stunning. Lots of old building, churches and all those canals...you can see water al over the place. I took these 2 photos on top of the Science Center Nemo. The weather was not that good on this second day of our trip to Amsterdam back in july, but at least it was not raining.

I used the october kits by Studio Calico and these Project Life cards from the PL kit are just perfect for journaling. Love the colourcombination. The photos are blurry and dark, I wanted to have a more happy feeling, so I used fun colours and shapes like the stars and the heart. "Uitzicht" is dutch and means view. I like the 3 geotags, they give the scrapbook layout more dimension.

All Those Bicycles - Scrapbook Layout With Layering

All Those Bicycles - Scrapbook Layout With Layering

Did you guys saw the latest Glittergirl-Episode with all the layering over at Twopeas? Well, I was really inspired by that particular video and I made this scrapbook layout with lots of layering.
I used some PL-cards from the PL kit by Studio Calico, some cute stuff (I love the paperclip bicycle most) and papers from the october scrapbook kit and Amsterdam add on. Perfect.
Its not my first page about all those bikes in Amsterdam. But I had to make this one to tell the whole story. You never know who will read about our recent trip to Amsterdam in the future. But they have to know why I took more then 20 photos of these bicycles.

Nemo Amsterdam - Scrapbook Layout

Nemo Amsterdam - Scrapbook Layout

Today I want to show you more from my recent trip to Amsterdam! Every time we visit Amsterdam, we do not want to miss the Science Center Nemo near the train station. This museum is perfect for kids!
Nemo is located at the Oosterdok in Amsterdam-Centrum, situated between the Oosterdokseiland and Kattenburg. It is housed in a building designed by Renzo Piano, who also designed the building for the Astrup Fearnley Museum at Tjuvholmen in Oslo, Norway.
Nemo is the fifth most visited museum in the Netherlands. It has five floors and it is full over exciting things to discover and to do. Everything in Nemo is connected to science and technology. You can hear, smell, feel and see how the world works. After a visit of Nemo, you will know why bridges are so strong, what you will look like in 30 years, why you look so much like your parents, how to purify water, what happens when you kiss, how lightning and satellites work and much more. Nemo is worth a visit and when you one day plan to visit Amsterdam do not miss Nemo!

I made this page with the last october Scrapbook Kit by Studio Calico and used some additional stuff like the dotted washitape by Glitz and some cute yellow stickers by Basic Grey.

Canal Boat Tour - Scrapbook Layout with 3 Photos

Canal Boat Tour - Scrapbook Layout with 3 Photos

We spent some days in Amsterdam last summer. On the second day we booked an one-hour canal boat tour. We discovered at this sightseeing cruise the highlights of the Dutch capital. We saw all the famous highlights including the Anne-Frank House at the Prinsengracht, the Skinny Bridge and the old port. The captain was quite funny and he had to tell all his stories in german, dutch and english.

I made this page after a scrapbook layout by Shimelle. I love to make pages with more than one photo. In this case I took 3 photos. I used the october kits by Studio Calico and again the Amsterdam add on was just perfect for these pictures of the canal boat tour in Amsterdam!
